Welcome

• The West End Library, one of the three members of the federated Union County Library System, offers public access to a wide range of materials, programs, and services to residents of Hartley Township and surrounding communities.
  Located at 45 Ball Park Road, the library is part of the Laurel Run Activity Complex that also includes the “Field of Dreams” ball park and the Hartley Township Recreation and Youth Center.
• Activities and events offered by the West End Library include summer reading programs for all ages, weekly story hours and craft programs for children during the school year, and programs throughout the year for various ages on diverse subjects such as wildlife, hobbies, and nutrition. • The West End Library is a member of “Living Simple, Living Plain,” the 2011 Read Across the Valley project that is a cooperative effort of one academic and 13 public libraries. Participating libraries share the goal of exploring regional cultures, promoting reading, and building a sense of community by encouraging residents to talk about what they read. • We have a new Job & Career section in the library, courtesy of an LSTA grant through the North Central Library District!  You’ll find current job resource materials next to the reference materials at the front of the building.
